C., who will be presenting on Exceptions and Reservations as a summary to his law review article titled “The Pich Exception: Reservations, Exceptions to Warranty, and Exceptions to Grant in the Chain of Title” which was published in the LSU Journal of Energy Law & Resources and Landman Magazine.

Zack is an attorney in the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Section at Cotton Bledsoe Tighe & Dawson, P. C., in Midland, Texas. He began his practice in San Antonio, Texas, where he performed title examination and drafted various types of title opinions and documents for clients with operations in the Barnett Shale and Eagle Ford Shale.
Zack focuses his practice mainly on oil and gas transactional matters, including title examination, and negotiation and preparation of deeds, leases, operating agreements, assignments, surface use agreements, and various other documents utilized by upstream oil & gas companies.
Zack’s publications include The Pich Exception: Reservations, Exceptions to Warranty, and Exceptions to Grant in the Chain of Title, which was published in the LSU Journal of Energy Law & Resources and Landman Magazine, and Seven Thousand Feet Under: Does Drilling Disturb the Dead? Or Does Drilling Underneath the Dead Disturb the Living? An Analysis of Various Laws Concerning Drilling to Extract Oil and Gas Underneath Cemeteries, which was published in West’s Real Estate Law Journal and The Section Report of the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Zack is a member of AAPL and PBLA, and is a board member of the Midland Chapter of Young Professionals in Energy.
