Ascent Geomatics Solutions (formerly Petroleum Field Services) is a progressive and entrepreneurial Land Surveying and Engineering company is now hiring reliable, detail oriented individuals looking to join our dynamic team as an Account Executive (AE) in the Midland, Texas market. Our extensive range of projects includes energy, mining, transportation, landfills, construction, and other outdoor service industries, however for this role, the Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas industry will be the main focus area. Our team is diverse – with varying backgrounds, areas of expertise, and interests – and we are constantly evaluating growth opportunities.

The AE generates new business for Ascent by generating revenue from new client acquisitions and/or new “divisions” within an existing Ascent customer.

The Ascent AE generates new business by prospecting, conducting initial meetings, generating opportunities around specific projects, working with other internal subject matter experts to create pricing and proposals, and ultimately closing sales opportunities by securing signed Master Service Agreements (MSA’s) and Statements of Work (SOW’s). The AE may also be required to assist with marketing related activities including but not limited to: networking events, marketing events, email campaigns, trade shows, industry/association meetings, and other marketing related functions. The AE will also be required to input any information related to companies, contacts, opportunities, and activities in the Deltek CRM.

  • Consistently achieves quarterly sales quota expectation.
  • Consistently achieves weekly and monthly activity expectations.
  • Manages the entire sales process from beginning to end, bringing in Ascent resources throughout the process where necessary.
  • Follows up on leads via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Makes cold calls via phone, email, or in-person to assigned companies and prospects.
  • Outdoor service industry (oil & gas, mining, transportation, construction, etc.) experience preferred.
